Is It Hard To Get FTA Bail Bonds In Laguna Beach?

July 18, 2016 Comments Off on Is It Hard To Get FTA Bail Bonds In Laguna Beach? posted by: Bail Expert

My husband was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.  We never got the warrant notice in the mail and we had no idea he was supposed to go to court.  I’ve heard that it’s much harder to get bail bonds for FTA charges.  Is this true?

There is no cut-and-dry answer to this question.  The best we can say is “sometimes.”  When someone is arrested on a failure to appear charge that can, in many cases, lead a bondsman to believe the defendant has a higher risk of not going to court and finishing their case.  On the other hand, California bail bonds companies have worked with many clients who have strong community ties, have good credit and are otherwise considered to be a “low flight risk” who find they are arrested on this type of charge because they never got the notice to appear in the mail. When you start the process of hiring a Laguna Beach bail bonds company be straightforward about your situation.

Laguna Beach PD Arrest Alleged Drunk Driver At Checkpoint

June 12, 2016 Comments Off on Laguna Beach PD Arrest Alleged Drunk Driver At Checkpoint posted by: Bail Expert

A source within the Laguna Beach Police Department released that two people were detained at a recent DUI checkpoint. Approximately 1,000 motorists drove through the checkpoint throughout its hours of operation, according to a report by the LA Times.

One person was arrested after they chose not to stop, but instead drove through it.  The car was eventually pulled over and the driver was taken into custody.  It was later determined that he was not impaired, but had a mental disability. He was released without needing to post bail bonds and was given a citation for misdemeanor evading.

Another driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, officers said. The name of that motorist was not released to the press.  Most people who are arrested and booked at the Laguna Beach Jail on misdemeanor DUI charges are released from custody on their own recognizance.

Alleged Burglar Booked At Laguna Beach Jail

April 25, 2016 Comments Off on Alleged Burglar Booked At Laguna Beach Jail posted by: Bail Expert

A spokesperson for the Laguna Beach Police Department has confirmed that three LA residents have been arrested and booked at the Laguna Beach Jail.

Jail records indicate the suspects are believed to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of clothing from a downtown boutique.

Police say they spotted the burglary as it was happening; one officer saw a woman walking out of the high-end retailer with an armful of clothing.  A second man followed her, police said, adding that his arms were equally full.

The pair tried to make a run for it when they realized they’d been made but the foot chase didn’t last long. Officers said they recovered more than $10,000 worth of stolen goods; a third suspect was also arrested in conjunction with the crime.

Two of the three were arrested and booked at the Laguna Beach Jail on charges of burglary and conspiracy.  The third suspect was identified as a 16 year-old female; LagunaBeachIndy.com notes she was released to a parent.

Can I Get A Message To Someone Who Is Being Held At The Laguna Beach Jail?

March 23, 2016 Comments Off on Can I Get A Message To Someone Who Is Being Held At The Laguna Beach Jail? posted by: Bail Expert

My sister was arrested a couple hours ago and she’s being held a the Laguna Beach Jail.  She’s been trying to contact us but for some reason the calls aren’t going through.  Is there a way to get her a message? We want her to know that we’re in the process of posting her bail bonds.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is no.  You can’t dial into the jail and speak with the defendant and the jailers will not pass on a message.  It doesn’t matter if the caller is a family member, a Laguna beach bail bondsman or an attorney.

The good news is that posting bail bonds in Laguna Beach is a fast and easy process. In most cases, the defendant can expect to be released from jail within 30 minutes of their bail bonds being posted.  If the bondsman you are working with is able to help you using online bail bonds or e-sign bail bonds, this will also help speed up the process.

How Much Do Laguna Beach Bail Bonds Cost?

February 22, 2016 Comments Off on How Much Do Laguna Beach Bail Bonds Cost? posted by: Bail Expert

This is a very common question.

When someone is arrested and booked at the Laguna Beach Jail their bail bonds amount will be set based on the nature and severity of the crime they have been accused of.

A very minor offense, such as a basic first-time DUI, will have a much lower bail amount than a more serious crime, such as armed robbery.

When you work with a Laguna Beach bail bonds company, the fee to hire a bondsman will be 10%. If the defendant’s bail has been set at $15,000 this means you can expect to pay $1,500 to hire a bondsman in Laguna Beach.

You’ll also want to keep in mind that the fee you pay to an Orange County bail bonds (or Orange County jail bonds) company is considered to be earned in full at the time the defendant is released from custody.  It is not something that will be refunded in part or in full, no matter what happens with their case.

How low cost bail bonds in Laguna Beach could hurt you

October 23, 2015 Comments Off on How low cost bail bonds in Laguna Beach could hurt you posted by: Bail Expert

If you’ve learned that someone you care for has been arrested and booked at the Laguna Beach Jail it’s natural to want to get the best deal possible on bail bonds.

In California the cost to purchase bail bonds is set according to state law and that rate is 10%; there are, however, some unscrupulous companies that may offer deep discounts on premium to get your business. If you stumble across this type of bondsman you’ll want to ask yourself if you are OK doing business with someone who is so willing to break the law. Can you be sure they won’t try to shake you down for more money after the defendant is released?

Reputable Laguna Beach bail bonds agents have heard countless horror stories about unscrupulous companies that will offer a cheap rate up front but once the defendant is out of jail, they’ll return to the client demanding they pay more money or risk having the defendant thrown back in jail.

The bottom line is this: saving a few bucks on the front end of a jail bond transaction could seem like a good idea at the time but it will likely cost you far more in the long run.

Laguna Beach police hold fundraiser to honor fallen officer

September 23, 2015 Comments Off on Laguna Beach police hold fundraiser to honor fallen officer posted by: Bail Expert

Sources close to the Laguna Beach Police Department have confirmed that officers held a fundraiser to honor fallen police officer on Coutchie, who died two years ago in the line of duty.   Monies raised will be used to help benefit at-risk youth, the homeless and runaways, according to a report by Coastline Pilot.

A spokesperson for the event said the fundraiser brought many facets of Orange County law enforcement together, including firefighters, community leaders and other agencies.  A Halloween theme was chosen, according to reports, as it was Coutchie’s favorite holiday.

The mayor spoke at noon and the rest of the day was filled with a myriad of activities, including wine tasting, food, live music, face painting and a demonstration on how to make pasta.   The day also featured live and silent auctions.  It’s unclear how much money was raised last weekend, but those who attended the event said the experience was memorable.

Laguna Beach Police Crack Down On Drunk Driving

August 24, 2015 Comments Off on Laguna Beach Police Crack Down On Drunk Driving posted by: Bail Expert

The Laguna Beach Police Department held its most recent DUI checkpoint last weekend as part of their continued efforts to crack down on those who choose to drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A spokesperson for the department also said that officers will be visiting downtown-based restaurants and bars this upcoming weekend to speak with people about the dangers of driving while impaired.  Buzzed driving is the same as drunk driving, they point out.

These efforts are part of an 18-day initiative that will run through Sept. 7.  Law enforcement agencies throughout the state are prepping for the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend and are working to get their message out– Drive sober or get pulled over.

Laguna Beach PD officials are urging everyone who is planning on spending a night out on the town to plan a safe way home in advance.  According to a report by the Coastline Pilot, statistics show that about one third of divers who are involved in fatal crashes had one or more drugs in their system.
